To make it easier to contact us if you are interested in a thesis, proseminar or HiWi position, we would like to ask you to send an email with the following information to the responsible WiMi:

Give us some important information about you and your study progress:

• Name
• Course of studies and specialization
• Current semester
• What are you looking for? (Thesis, Proseminar, HiWi position)
• Optional: Desired start/end date

Explain your previous experience in relation to the work. This will help the WiMi to assess whether you and the topic are a good fit.

• Which courses have been taken? For example, you can attach your current transcript of records from TUCaN to the email.
• Overview of previous experience, as well as other relevant information (e.g. programming languages mastered or similar)

For unsolicited applications

Describe your interests to us so that we can get an idea of whether we have suitable work to offer. The following questions may be helpful here:

• Is there a specific field of activity that you are aiming for?
• Are there specific topics (e.g. model predictive control) or application areas (e.g. automotive control) that are of particular interest?
• Was this WiMi specifically contacted for a particular reason?
• What courses in your degree did you find particularly interesting?
• For theses: Should this be, for example, more theoretical, simulative and/or practical in nature?
• Optional: Have you already thought about a topic that is interesting for you? Have you already found scientific publications on this topic that you find interesting?

Note: The more detailed the information in your mail to us, the easier it will be for us to process your request.
