Dr.-Ing. Sebastian Clever

Dr. Sebastian Clever studied industrial engineering with a focus on electrical engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt. His technical focus was on automation technology. He then worked as a research assistant at the Institute for Automatic Control and Mechatronics until 2009 under the direction of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Rolf Isermann. Sebastian Clever completed his doctorate in the field of model-based fault detection and diagnosis in diesel engines.

Following his scientific work, Dr. Clever trained as a patent attorney and worked for several years in intellectual property law. He advised clients in particular on patents, trademarks and designs.

In 2025, he was elected mayor of the town of Zwingenberg.
