In my education in Iran, I explored different aspects of control engineering, from artificial intelligence to classic methods and robotics applications. Since 2005, and by leading robotic teams in RoboCup and selecting control of legged robots in my PhD., I shaped my research criteria. Since coming to TU Darmstadt in 2011, I focused on biomechanics and bioinspired control to design and control legged robots and assistive devices. In 2016, I became an assistant professor at the University of Tehran. In the previous five years, I led interdisciplinary research, I have been the PI in different projects and scientific coordinator of the LokoAssist doctoral network. In 2022, I became the research group leader of the Control of Locomotion and Assistive Robotics Group (LoConsist) in the Lauflabor locomotion lab, and in 2025 I moved to the electrical engineering department and re-established the group in the Control and Cyber-Physical Systems (CCPS) research branch.
