Philipp Rumschinski joins the faculty of Furtwangen University as professor for Process Measurement and Control Technology

Philipp Rumschinski, a former group member and Ph.D. student, will join in March 2022 the faculty of Furtwangen University of applied sciences (Germany) as a professor for Process Measurement and Control Technology.

Dr.-Ing. Philipp Rumschinski:

Philipp obtained his Ph.D. from the Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg, focusing on the „Verification of System Properties of Polynomial Systems using Discrete-time Approximations and Set-based Analysis.“ For his thesis work, he received the price of the best Ph.D. thesis of the electrical engineering faculty. After a brief postdoc phase in the group, he joined the Robert Bosch Automotive Steering department as a researcher and engineer before obtaining his professor position.

So far, eight former group members of the CCPS laboratory have gained professorships:

  • Masako Kishida – former research associate and Humboldt Research Fellow: associate professor National Institute of Informatics, Tokyo, Japan. Link
  • Steffen Borchers-Tigasson – former Ph.D. student: professor for automation and intelligent systems, artificial intelligence, optimization, control, and modeling at HTW Berlin, Germany. Link
  • Timm Faulwasser – former research associate and student: full professor for Energy Efficiency at TU Dortmund University, Germany. Link
  • Sergio Lucia – former postdoc/research associate: full professor at TU Dortmund as Chair of Process Automation Systems, Dortmund, Germany. Link
  • Saša V. Raković – former research fellow: professor at School of Automation, Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), China. Link
  • Philipp Rumschinski – former research associate and Ph.D. student: professor for Process Measurement and Control Technology at Furtwangen University, Germany. Link
