Her research focuses on the control, simulation, and optimization of mechatronic systems, particularly in the fields of robotics and battery technology. In her teaching, she attaches great importance to providing students specializing in automatic control with a sound understanding of dynamic systems and to supporting them in their technical and methodological development.

Prof. Janine Himmel's teaching portfolio includes control engineering, automation technology, and mathematical optimization—always with a strong focus on practical applications.

Congratulations, Janine – we congratulate you on your appointment and wish you every success and enjoyment in your new role at Brandenburg University of Applied Sciences.
